USDA – Compared with two weeks ago, trade activity and demand on organic feed grade corn and soybeans moderate to good. Forward contract activity for new crop is limited compared to two weeks ago.
Feed grade corn traded 1.16 lower. No trend available on feed grade soybeans or wheat. Soybean meal and oil activity light on moderate demand. Soybean meal traded 13.42 lower.
Bids on feed grade organic corn and wheat increasing as supplies tighten. Trade activity on all other organic grains too limited to trend.
According to NASS’s National Crop Progress report for week ending April 8, 2018:
- Corn planted 2 per cent
- Sorghum planted 17 per cent
- Oats planted 27 per cent
- Oats emerged 25 per cent
- Winter wheat headed 3 per cent
- Spring wheat planted 2 per cent
- Barley planted 4 per cent
