National Organic Grain and Feedstuffs: June 7

Whole Peeled, Unpeeled and Rolled Oats

Compared to two weeks ago, FOB grower bids on organic feed corn 8.00, feed soybeans 16.75-17.00, and bids for feed wheat delivered elevator ranging 8.00-9.00 as demand increased. Feed corn traded one cent higher FOB with demand moderate on active trade. Feed soybean trades ranged 17.00-18.00 FOB on moderate demand and activity.

Corn and soybean markets have firmed up due to recent articles related to imported organic grains. With wheat harvest underway, feed wheat actively traded 7.00-8.00 FOB. No trend available on food wheat due to a lack of comparable trades.

Soybean meal trade activity light on moderate demand with lower undertones noted. Soybean oil trade activity light on good demand, trading 40-42 FOB. Forward contract activity on organic grains have been active compared to the prior period. Too limited trade activity on all other organic grains and hay to trend.
