National Organic Grain and Feedstuffs: May 10

Whole Peeled, Unpeeled and Rolled Oats

USDA – Compared to two weeks ago, feed grade corn demand and activity moderate, trading  8 cents higher FOB. Bids mostly 7.00 to 8.00 FOB with east coast bids 10.00 to 10.50 delivered. Activity was lighter than the prior period due to long positions and planting.

Feed grade soybean demand and activity light, with no trend available due to lack of comparable FOB trades. Bids mostly 17.50 to 18.00 delivered elevator. Soybean meal trade inactive on the spot market as several end users contracted through the end of the year. Trade activity on feed wheat moderate on good demand. Bids range 8.00 to 9.00 delivered as demand increases.  Soybean oil trade activity light on good demand. Prices remain higher than last year.

Forward contract activity organic grains light. Limited trades on barley and oats while trade on all other organic grains remains inactive. Organic hay trades limited.
